 Subject: speaker amp question

I'm a newb so i have a couple of questions.
1. If i get a 3 way component system it has 3 speakers and 2 crossovers (A pair than will have 4 crossoers). Do i need a need a 4 channel amp?
2. If i get an imaging kit then it will only have a tweeter. Do i need an amp just for the tweeter?
3. Does a 3 way component and an imaging kit require a 6 channel amplifier?

You can get a 2 channel abd run a pair of tweets and speakers. It will start at the 1 and 2 channel of the amp to the crossover and from that will come 1 speaker and 1 tweet and the other side the same. I have this setup but a 4 channel but unless you have 4 tweets and 4 speakers you dont really need a 4 channel.
