Is there a way or space to put a woofer behind the rear seat of a 2004 QC without having to remove the seats?

You need to do a search on this board. Lots of previous discussions of this.

I have a SoloBaric S8L7 in a truck box behind the driver's side rear seat. Thunderform makes a box that will fit their 10, and maybe some other 10s (check for mount depth).

If you want to move the jack and tools, the passenger side rear seat is an option, where you should be able to fit 2 8s or a single 10.

Also, if you actually do one of these, note that you can remove just the rear seatback instead of the entire rear seat. With my setup, this was easier then removing the entire seat to install the sub.

There's not much room behind the seats. I'm mostly finished building a sub box for my QC, and having looked at the space behind the seats both for amps and subs, you'd be very limited in the 10's you could fit, and even a lot of 8's would be too deep.

The 10 I'm using has a 7.5" mounting depth and would need to be 1/3 less than that to have a chance of fitting in a box behind the seat. Instead I've built a box that gives it .625 cubic feet of space immediately behind the center console. Even that was a squeeze because of the skewed shape it needs to have to fit -- it appears the sub is going to have the magnet clear the side walls by less than a half-inch.

With 600 watts going to it, it'll be like a kick to the head though :)

If you already have a sub, or want something better than the shallow depth options, behind the seats really isn't viable. I can't even fit one of my amps behind them.

Im building a box to fit an 8" Kicker SoloBaric L7. Space is extremely limited even for this sub. Drop the 10" idea, it will not work well behind the seats. Im having to cut the seat a bit and build a grille over the sub just to fit an 8". Its gonna sound so good tho.

Im in the process of installing 2 seperate boxes for my 10" mtx 8000's in my 04 quad cab right now. Got the boxes custom made off of ebay and they are great quality and you can fit 2 10's withoutseat modification with .7 cubic feet or airspace and 5.25" of mounting depth. Rock on!!

Alec, sounds like you are already done, but Q-Logic's 8" truck box fits right into the spot behind the driver's side rear seat.

For the S8L7 (whick is what I also have) you just need to cut square corners into the Q-logic box to fit the L7 in.

My box uses every single bit of space it can, and I wanted to use the best materials i could, and it paid off. It sounds amazing. I might of modified the Q-logic box if I coulda found it, but no one really had it, and I wanted to make one anyways. It was actually fun, haha.
