Message: yep, I got the same radio from cardomain.com a few months ago and like it a LOT. It's not the same quality as an Alpine, but it's way better than most other MP3 models out there in the same price range. For $170 you can't go wrong! It's a night and day difference over the stock unit.
The only thing I don't like about it is the display doesn't dim with the headlights and it's a bit bright at night. After getting used to it it's not a big deal.
I've got a 1997 dakota so the radio mount may be different, but all u have to do is buy a Chrysler mounting kit with a wiring harness so it will plug right into the truck. It takes a couple minutes to get it set, but it's not too bad.
If you're planning on an amp someday, I would definitely recommend buying an amplifier installation kit. It's a bit easier to install the amp wires the same time as the radio because everything's already taken apart. Wal-mart has a good amplifier wiring kit with 4 gauge wire and all the other wires you need for $25. Thats what I'm using and it works real well.
Nice radio... I would highly recommend it
www.crutchfield.com also has a real good how-to section on installing car radios and amps and stuff.
