I know absolutely nothing about car audio. I am getting a JL stealthbox (http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/dakota.html)
and am wondering about what amp to get.
I'm not after maximum base, just good sound quality, which is why I went with the 8".
Any help would be appreciated.

im no expert either, but i would say for the 8's, the most you would need would be 150watt rms
personally, i like this one.

If you want good clean sound, i would stick to Rockford Fosgate, or Memphis, but that is just my opinion.

I would definately go with a bigger amp that that. For your JL 8s you will definately go with more than 150 watts, I would go with AT LEAST a 300 watt amp.
