I just got a '98 Dakota regular cab and am trying to figure out what speakers I can put into it.
I'm not seeing anything good on Crutchfield in terms of their "easy fit" speakers, especially in the rear where the only high end speaker listed is the 4" kappas. I've searched this site a bit, seen that there is actually a much larger set of options for me than Crutchfield gives, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for, so I'll try asking.
I think I would just like to stick with Infinity Kappas as I've always been happy with them. Can I fit the 6 3/4" kappas in the front and 5 1/4" kappas in the rear? If not, am I _really_ limited to the 5 1/4" in the front & 4" in the rear?

dude i got a 98,guy at stereo shop says 6-3/4 fronts 5-1/4 rears i found rockfords an polks
in that size

what good places for subs i also have a 98 reg cab and i have a hard time trying to figure out what to do to get great subbing with out making the passenger sit with their knees on the dash board because the box is behind the seat... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I put 6.5" Kappas in the front, extremely simple install. The rears I made custom mounting brackets out of plywood to fit 5.25" Kappas. The rears were NOT worth the effort, and no 5.25" speakers are easy fit like crutchfield says! Regardless, the 5.25" Kappas have almost zero bass, I should have gone with the much much easier to fit 4" in the rear. The 6.5" are so awesome in the front though! =)
I first tried the Rockfords speakers, but they were junk I thought - if there was any treble in the music say goodbye to all the bass. I returned them, and the replacement Kappas with the crossovers do such a better job, the difference is like night & day.
