Just wanted to let you guys know that I have recently purchased a wiring kit, and audiobahn subwoofer box, off of www.hifisoundconnection.com. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. They sent the wiring kit, smashed into a smaller box than the packaging, causing parts to fall out, and failed to send the subwoofer box. I called over 8 times, only to have a answering maching pick up everytime. I email'd them dozens of times only to be given the run around by their one and only tech support guy names "Dan". Dan returns my emails with more questions, and will not provide any answers except for "im looking into the problem". After 3 weeks of waiting for the subwoofers to show up, I'm told by dan that he has sent a new subwoofer out, apparently they never shipped to begin with. The subwoofer arrives and it is a single subwoofer. I had ordered 2 12" subs loaded into a box/enclosure. The package barely weighed 10 pounds when the UPS tag marked it as 70 pounds. My attempt at getting this subwoofer to be picked up has failed, and I had to suspend my payment and dispute it with VISA. I have sent 3 emails in the last couple of days with no response. So im screwed for now and thought I'd warn you ebay/onliners about this horrible company.

You would be better off buying those no name speakers out of a van on the side of the road than hifisoundconnection.com.

Buyer beware, the prices are good, but thats if you get your product.

That realy sucks!

I purchased 3-4 items from etronics.com and was realy happy with thier service, price and delivery times. 1/2 off retail and it only took 1 week to ship the items across the country, NY to NV.

Guess you picked the wrong online supplier :(

Hey Mr.Sleepy,

Thanks for the heads-up on www.hifisoundconnection.com. Hopefully those guys won't be in business much longer if they keep pulling that junk...

If anyone is looking for a good company online,
www.cardomain.com and www.crutchfield.com are both rock solid.

Cardomain sent me the wrong product, but quickly exchanged it at their expense with no hassle. Since then I've bought from them a few times without a hitch. Nothing but praise for Cardomain.com!!

Cruthcfield is another good company that has been around a long time and their shipping is REALLY fast.

Still fighting HiFiSoundConnection.com for my refund. But I'd have to agree that Crutchfield.com is by far the best online audio seller in the business. I have bought all my other gear from them and they have provided me with nothing but the finest of product and support. Their prices aren't that great, but when something goes wrong, you get full service 24/7. Go with crutchfield.

As for my situation, it hasn't got better, but I have recieved 1 email from them saying they will pick up the speaker they shipped me by accident. But made no other comments as to what is going on. God damn amateurs.

I totally agree with ya SQDak, online purchases for electronics gear come with a waranty that is slim to none. The end user has to deal with shipping it into the MFG if they will even honor the warranty (some of the online suppliers are not authorized retailers).

BUT, I bought 5-6 items online at 1/2 price, if one of them blows up, I am still money ahead paying to replace the dead item. If I don't abuse the equipment, 10 to 1 it's not going to blow up. Well, that's unless I was unfortunate enough to get something bad from the MFG.

I guess it's up to the buyer, crappy warranty or over priced equipment, decisions, decisions.

Gotta roll the dice sometime.....

I agree. I have heard LOTS of bad things about hifisoundconnection.com. I have purchased from crutchfield, car domain, and the zeb all without problems. Any all 3 stand behind their products. Be careful though, warranty can be an issue. But you can definitely save money buying off the internet, or you can get burned. I have even bought used stuff off of ebay and it has worked great. Got lucky I guess.
