Subject: Help, Radio, AM fine, No FM IP: Logged
Message: I have a stock infinity system I believe in my 95 Dak. About a year ago, the FM won't do a thing. It's more or less a quiet static. The AM side of things however is fine. I'm gettin' pretty sick of listening to talk radio. LOL.
Any help, advice, suggestions appreciated. I'd like to fix the one I have, if possible. I know zip about radios.....could it be a wire come loose issue? Please inform me. Thank you.

Message: Quite possibly your antenae wire came loose/undone- pull the dash panel off from around your radio, unscrew all the screws holding your radio in, gently pull radio towards youuntil you can see behind it, you should see a harness (several wires grouped together) and you should also have one other (thicker) wire that plugs in seperately- this is your antenae wire, push it firmly into the radio.
My thoughts

Message: Also check to make sure the radio is grounded. I think when i took my stock radio out there was a heavy duty braded wire attached to the chassis. make sure that is connected.
