Subject: Bass Blockers IP: Logged
Message: hey i have sub's in the back delivering bass,and 6 1/2 speakers in my rear and some small ones in my front,when i turn it up too loud,the word's drown out ,can bass blockers take the bass out so i just hear words or whatever,and just hear the bass from the trunk,or should i buy a crossover to conrol my whole system?

First I'm assuming that you have an amp running your subs. Most amps have a low pas x-over already built into the amp. It sounds to me like no one level matched your system when they installed your BASS! So, here is what you do:
Turn the gain all the way down on your amp. Then turn up your stereo as loud as you can without distortion. Once you have done that slowly turn the gain up on your amp until you get the appropriate sounding bass to match the loudness of your other speakers. Also make sure that your bass is at 0 on the deck. Now turn your stereo back down and it should take care of the problem.
Also, rear fill to most stereo freaks is not a big deal since the ideal location for a proper sound stage is so that the group playing on your stereo sounds as if they're playing on your hood. If this doesn't help any please let me know. Brandon.
