don't cus me for bringing up the subject but what do you people think of the pioneer 760w (i think) amp at wal mart. do you guys think it would be any good for 170 bucks.

Just look at how many RMS watts of power it puts out. For a sub you want at least a 100 RMS watts pushing it. And if your recvier doesn't have a built in crossover make sure you get an amp that has one.

as the guy that has repaired my pioneer amp twice in the last year says" i would not buy a pioneer amp nowadays", "the quality is no longer there." this is from a pioneer certified repair shop. i still have my amp, only because i can't afford to get rid of it and it still works. pioneer head units are good, stay away from their amps.

I like jbl amps. I think they are great amps and very reasonable. What kind of subs you got, like dvc or svc and what ohms are they?

they each have a single 4 Ohm voice coil
they are 300w rms
i looked through the book and i could find whether it was dvc or svc

See if you can find one of these. Probably get one in the $150 range. Awesome amp and puts out 600 rms at 2 ohms. I hear they put out a little more than that though actually. I got the jbl 180.2 and it rocks.

Don't get me wrong, there are other good amps out there besides jbl, but for the price and quality I find them tough to beat. I have also had mtx amps and those are really good too.

hey guys, i started back to school today and i was talking to one of my buddies about his system, and after hearing it he asked me if i wanted to buy it and i was like let me think about it. But tell me if this is a good deal or not.
It's a infinty kappa perfect 12" in a vt box and a 1200w power acoustic amp, all for the price of $400. what do you guys think.

I am not sure on the amp but I think you can get that sub brand new for $180 and that is only at one place I looked at. Probably cheaper if you looked around. I just think $400 is a little high for that stuff used. I think that sub takes like 400rms. You can get a brand new infinity kappa perfect sub and amp to push it for $400. Good sub though!

well guys, i bought the sub and amp today, this thing if freaken bad. i haven't really opened it up yet, but just to give yall and idea how hard it slams. It was in a 99 ext. cab S-10 and it was facing up, but when it was turned up to just 13 on the volume it made the rood sink in and pop back out about 1 1/2".

dude i hade a wall in my dak with 4 jl w3 12's and about 3000 watts. u have never seen a roof flex b 4!!!!
