Subject: Subs in rear panel of 04 Clubcab IP: Logged
Message: I have not seen any posts yet on this subject, but has anyone explored using the rear panels, below the stock 6.5's as a sub enclosure.
I figure with alittle work one could cut some metal/plastic panel seal it up nice and drop 8's or 10's in there.
You could even pull out the stock 6.5's and drop 2 set of 8's on each side.
next week I'll pull my interior apart and really take a look as far as depth and what would be require to work this.

Message: did it 4 years ago....a 12 is kinda pushing it, but a 10 will fit nicely, just make sure it isn't too deep. the hardest part will be making a grill for the stock plastic panel, as it will rattle like crazy.
