Message: Ok,i have a memphis 1500d pushing 4 15" kicker cvr's that r 1000 watts a peice max and i'm pushing 375 a peice to them and hitting a 153db.My ? is i found a orion 2400 watt amp.Will it be better?...or what.They said it pushed 2400 true watts but i dont really know much about these amps.My subs could really use the 600 watts insted of the 375 though.

Message: You can't really hear anything below 3.0-5.0% distortion on sub amps. I wouldn't put any emphasis on this when buying amps except for when looking at the manufacturers rating. It should be at 1%.
Are you talking about the XTR 2400? Why not just go for the 2500d? It's been benched at 2600rms at 12.5 volts! That's much more conservative than the 14.4 volt rating.
