Message: I have 47 15" subs in my truck. I don't even really need to drive the truck because when I turn on the bass the truck just sort of hops all over the place and with practice I can make it go the direction I need. Only problem is that there's nowhere for me to sit in the truck because I took everything out so I could stuff all those subs in there. That and the fact that every time the bass hits the truck blows up, so I have to rebuild it a few times a day.
:)
(I AM kidding, just in case I need to clarify.)

Message: dak96, since you're an install pro AND you have similar speakers to what I'm working toward, maybe you could offer some comments.
So far I've collected a Pioneer DEH-P77DH, a JL Audio stealthbox, a Zapco AG150 to drive the stealthbox and a set of MB Quart QM218.61 for up front. I'm looking for suggestions on a choice for speakers to fill the rear(which model of MB Q specifically). I'm also looking at a Lanzar amp. I hear they are good bang for the buck. Not sure if a VIBE225 will do it for the fronts or should I be looking at a VIBE425 to handle front and rear. Zapco was a thought, but the equivalent power would come in a much bigger package and I'm hoping to get this amp under the passenger seat.
Some of this stuff I've had for awhile and some was just purchased(the MB Quarts). Also have about 100 sq. ft. of Dynamat knockoff which I can go crazy with if warranted. None of it is installed yet. Suggestions or tips?
TIA

Message: intimidator is right in some cases but full of chit in others. Kicker subs are good. I've run tons of them with little problem. I've blown several but I was beating the piss out of them when it happened. Playing a sine sweep on a pair of kicker comps with 3400 watts is not a good idea. They lasted about 3 seconds and both cones froze. CV subs do have sq. I'm assuming you are all referring to the strokers which in case many of you didn't know were originally designed for use as pro audio speakers. As were the DD's. You may lose SQ in a huge ported SPL box but in a "small" ported box they have great SQ. Put a 9515 in a 3 cube box tuned to 35hz and it plays clean and loud. I agree with the front and rear stage coments. I don't even have rear fill. My setup for those of you who wish to rip on it:
head - sony cdx c-910
processor - sony mk-II
mids amp - soundstream picasso
sub amp - soundstream tarantula
mids - mb quart 8's in the doors 6 1/2's in door, 4 4" mids and 3 sets of tweets.
subs - digital designs 9515's
power - 4 SVR 80-12's, 300 amp alt, all stinger 1/0 wiring
I also have a 5.8 sony monitor, PS2, N64, sony VCP
It's not all in the truck yet but when it is... you'll know :D

Message: You all need to learn two words in the car stereo world.... "Rockford Fosgate" say that with me now...Rockford Fosgate. They have always been, and always will be the best no matter what anyone says. If you can afford their amps, buy them, you will never go wrong. Their subs are good if you buy over the HE's...(anything below is kinda for beginners.) I am getting ready to put 4, (count them...FOUR) 12" HX2's in an extended cab F150. They will be powered by 2 1501BD's and there will be Fanatic Q's and a 25 Farad cap in the truck as well. So when your CV's, DD's and your kickers don't bump anymore, maybe it would be a wise decision to invest in Rockford...you know you will like it a whole lot better.
