Subject: Need help ? IP: Logged
Message: So i was at the junk yard today and found a stock (RAZ) cd/tape/radio player out of a chrisyler 1997 car, that i was told that would work on my truck so i bought it for $125 i though that was a good price since the dodge dealer want'ed almost $600 for one. so i got it home to find out that the face plate screw holes are not the same everthing else work fine it just that i can't mount it up in the truck. so i was woundering if dodge sells replacement radio faces? and do you think that i should try to get one or gust sell and look for a new one. also one more ? i tried to take the face plate off and got it al of except the three band eqliser sliders were holding me up and was to thake them off. any help would be nice.

Message: $125 for a 7 year old CD player? If it didn't fit right I would take it back and get a refund. For $150 on Ebay you can get a brand new Pioneer DEH-P47DH, 1 1/2 DIN CD stereo that will fit in the truck. Add a $10 stereo adapter from Wal-Mat and 1-2 hours to install and your done.
It's new, has a warranty, will sound one heck of alot better than a stock stereo and you can build a system from this deck since it had 2 pair of RCA outputs. For an extra $30 you can get the DEH-P77DH which has an extra set of RCA outputs for the sub and some other good features.
