Message: Anyone? I see so many post about trying to get a sub box that doesn't limit the function of the seats. This looks like it would work great. Maybe not, just looking for some opinions.
thanks

Message: i don't think you would be able to fold the seat up after the install.
as far as an amp for those specs you listed, try one rated @ 250 RMS max.

Message: I looked at it last summer. Thought the same as you, that it looked pretty good. The downside is the cost of the unamped/unloaded unit. The upside is 10" capability and only the small seat's loss of foldup.
When I was looking, the depth of the box looked questionable for most 10" subs, but since then I remember someone posting that this wasn't an issue for them.
My decision came down to cost, a $60 8" box, or the $200+ 10" box. I figured that I could live quite well with an 8" L7.

Message: The L7 is the square sub, so keep in mind that it will require modification to the box. Not difficult, but I was trying to get it done with a Dremel. Finding/acquiring a decent router is recommended.

Message: i put 4 10 inch alpine type x pro series in the back of my 03 dakota. They are in a custom box, with a amp rack molded to the front. i am running 2 1001 digital amps. the system pounds hard, with front kicker panels. then on the custom sub box i have tears that come of the side to hold 2 sets of alpine type x 6.5 with comp. When i get my photos done i will post.

Message: 2kdak, if it has 2 10" subs, then it is the box for the CC, not the QC.
But, I was looking around the other day, and did see a T-form for the QC with a remanufactured 10" MTX sub. Can't remember the price though...

Message: A ported box for a 10 behind the driver's rear seat? Wow, I wouldn't have thought there was enough air space. How much space did you get into the box?

Message: The Box Dimensions Are 21x17x11 1/2 with a J L Audio Subwoofer 10w6v2. Fold up the rear seat Behind the drivers seat and thats all the space that it will take up. Car Tunes in Westland Built the box for me. Michigan (734-728-9790) Talk to Scott. They Built the box on stilts cause the floor is unlevel. Back in March is when I had the box Built because the MTX box Was only made for the Ex-tended Cab But I see they make one now for the Q-cab now. But will it preform like you want Don,t know? But would you spend $600.00 and be disappointed. Thats up to u. Most of us out here want to feel our music. I have seen others take the bench seat out and replace it with a another bucket seat and build there box between the two bucket seats. Rtk35pro@comcast.net
