Subject: what to do about my audio??? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1999 dakota r/t. I just put in a JVC KD-LH300 (Dash Unit) has 200W. I was wondering, if i should just get better speakers, or just go for the amp. I already have a box that has 2 10" JL w0's pretty much lowest sub but still not bad. I've been to alot of audio stores, they pretty much all want around 300 for the amp, wires, and work. I checked out the speaks and they want 250 for alpine not sure what kind but the guy told me they were amazing. 250 for 2 speakers in the front? any thoughts on what i should do?? Thanks

Dont go off what others opinions. Listen to them for yourself and consider that they are most likely running there components off external amps. Not just the decks amp. Take all the outside factors into consideration when listening to the equipment. JL's dont make a bad sub. Even there w-0's are decent. Good for the money in my opinion.
My tip for you is to get the model numbers. Do a lot of research. Google search your model numbers, check out peoples opinions. And for god sakes listen to em and make your own judgement. I have seen so many people buy from others opinions only to be dissatisfied. One other thing you could think about is installing your amp yourself. There are a lot of forums that have info in em how to do it. Just make sure you know what to do before you do it.

Message: JLEW99 if you are going to drop 250 on a set of speakers make sure they are what YOU want and they sound good. One thing to keep in mind about speakers in the stores. Most of the time when they have there speakers mounted into the wall for you to listen to, but it is just open air behind them so they will sound quite a bit different in your doors.
