Okay I just got my 99 dak sport a couple of days ago. I need some help with building a car stereo. First off my friend has given me two 10" phoenix gold qx-10, and right now we are building a sub box with an mdf frame/fiberglass bottom, its just about done. To power those I got this MTX Thunder 311D 310 Watt Subwoofer Amp off ebay. Now what I have been trying to figure out is how do I control the sub volume. I have just the factory system in place right now. Do I need to replace the factory deck with a cd deck that has a sub out and crossover? Or can I just get one of those crossover things or equalizers to do this without changing the factory deck. Obviously i really have no idea what i need so please somebody help me and tell me what it is i need to control the sub volume. i've seen the decks with sub control levels on there, do i need to get one of those? well maybe someone should just give me an in depth look at everything i should need. thanks and hopefully i get some reply's.
