Subject: new RF subs?

Message:
ok, question for anyone.

im settin up a system in my friends ranger (I know, i know)for just some bass to add a little thump to the music, but nothin to beat any records. this is the only good site around that i can get straight answers from, so im gonna ask.

For the amp, we are hookin up a US acoustics USB600d (200x1 @ 1 ohm) runnin 8 guage wire to it.

And for the sub, we are plannin on running an 8" with about 200 rms just for a little bass (its a regular cab so space is limited). So far, we've narrowed the choice down to the new RF stage 2 and the polk momo series. both are the same wattage and mounting depth, and are pretty close all around. only difference is the polk momo has the aluminum cone, and the RF doesnt.

now my question is, which is better for a combination of SPL and SQ? ive heard the older RFs before they became the stage series, and they were nice. iv never have heard a polk tho.

any advice guys?

thanks
-steve

my take on the RF is it will hit about as hard as the polk, but is not quite as clean. I have heard both, and would say go with the polk due to more boom for the amount of power you are giving it, and it hits much cleaner than the RF.
