Message: hey, since the last forum is gettting so big i think people arent even reading it anymore. so here is the post for those who are only going to be buying. again, the price is $300 shipped and carpeted. we can make them to house up to (2) 12's to fit under the rear bench, and make them top firing, or we can make you an R/T enclosure that can also hold up to (2) 12's. here are both the links to what they look like installed, however both of these are in Ford trucks, same idea though.

we make them for just about every model and generation. here are what i have on my lot, so if your truck fits this generation then they should fit. keep in mind that if you need an enclosure for larger subs, you made need to do some slight fabrication to the rear bench. pretty easy to do, just cut some 4" channel iron down to size.

Message: I have an 01 quad cab 4x4 if anyone has one they know how little room there is in the back for a sub. You can't put one under or behind the seat. I also tried putting some 8's in my doors but that wouldn't work either... not enough room. I then went to a friend of mine who runs a local stero shop and we come up with an idea of losing the console (not the cupholders or pockets) and glass a sub into the end of it firing up twards the back glass. We ended up putting in a 10" MTX 5500 and it rocks like nobody's buisness. If anyone is interested in seeing some pix drop me a line at my email address and i can forward you some pix. Also if you are interested in the same thing my budy would be willing to negociate a price.

Message: wow, thanks for stealing my thread! appreciate it. anyhow, i have installed tons of sub enclosures into dakotas, and many for this site, and usually all it takes is just to build some seat extensions to have the room under the bench. so if anyone is still interested let me know.

Message: anyone interested in a sub enclosure that replaces your center console? the drink holder and pockets fit on the forward side, while the rest is formed to the factory "footprint". two 8" woofers are loaded in the bottom. each one is custom built, since each manufacturer's driver needs different specs.
feel free to e-mail me if you are interested

Message: hahah, again, start your own thread and post what you want to there. i didnt put this up so that i can get a bunch of people low balling me. we build these enclosures for a living, so if anyone wants superior quality then buy from us. these arent just weekend projects for us when we "decided to learn how to work with fiberglass" . these are much higher quality then anyone elses enclosures i have seen. and for those of you who have made them as a first timer, you proabaly remember that "twang" sound when you have them working with a sub, we have built enough of these that we know how to get rid of this. but rob, thanks for the post.

Message: for the seat extensions, we take some 4" channel iron and make a template of the where the seat brackets are, and simply cut the iron to match the bolt pattern. and if you want pics of the enlcosures, just go to either of the links i gave. thanks

Message: Ian, not trying to steal YOUR thread.... BUT the whole point of my line was that I didn't want to lose any space, that includes jacking the seat closer to the roof. Also the shop S and K car stereo is the place that installed my cusom fit fiberglass console. Not carpeted to cover it up but to look factory. It looks exactly like a factory console textured and all except for the rear of it where the sub is located. They are pros there and know what they are doing. Have been doing it for years.

Message: yeah, i have been doing this for years, i build custom cars and custom enclosures for a living. just recently i finished a new honda accord and made the entire car seamless except for the doors and trunk, so i think i can handle an enclosure, and i have done work for members of this site before. as for the carpeting, i deal with the major manufacturers of trunk and floor liners, and they ship me the carpet that they use in their cars, so what i have is almost identical to what is in your truck. and unless you are 8 feet tall, losing 2-4" on interior head room on the bench isnt a big deal. this is why i build these enclosures, so people dont have to put a huge heavy box on top of their seat. and my prices really cant be beat, how much was your enclosure? i used to build these for major shops that would charge $1300 or more for my work, and i was tired of ripping people off and not getting to do as much custom work then, so i started my own business. so dont question my work or what i sell, you most likely wont find anything better or lower priced.

Message: Ian,
Sounds like your doing some good work. Just curious on what subs you are installing under the bench in a quadcab? Because I only have enough room now for a couple of Memphis amps, and they are touching the seat when it's down. Also what do you do with the back of the seat as it has slides that keep the seat atatched to the cab. Do you move them or make new ones?

Message: all we do is make seat extensions so that you only lose about 3" or so of head room, and the enclosures are built around the seat brackets so that they dont touch. and as for the thread jacking, i guess some people will always be losers, just have some common sense to start your own thread.
