Subject: Custom amp rack IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone seen a custom amp rack in a CC that went from the bottom of the rear seat angled to the floor? Maybe cover it with plexi glass? I want to install two amps and a 1 farad cap, maybe a neon light too.

Message: I have not seen an amp rack in a cc, but i have an amp ramp in my 2000 durango, its an easy job to do, and it also makes the job alot easier, since you can just stuff all the wires behind it, or under a false floor which the amps are attached too.

Message: I had a pretty sweet set up in my club cab,but it involved removing the tool tray, which was a pain in the butt.I cut a piece of wood to fit in its place,it takes a while to get the correct shape for a nice fit,you must also cut out the center of the wood at the rear due to the floor being higher in that area. The other matter of importance is that you will need to use the new "floor"to support the bench seats when they are in the down position, the tool tray's job.So in the front,I attached a front and short sides for supporting the seats,I actually was able to fit 3 kicker amps,a mmats d300hc amp,and 3 processors under the seats,it would be more than enough room for a couple of amps along with a cap,and any other accessories. If you try something like this, just be patient, its alot of cutting and fitting with the wood until you get it where you want, have plenty of wood to start over with if need be.Hope this helps.
