Subject: sub + rear speakers short IP: Logged
Message: When I turn the sub and volume too loud, the rear speakers and sub will work for a few seconds then short out until I either lower the sub or the volume..I have an 880 watt amp hooked up to the sub and the 2 speakers. I'm pretty sure I just need another amp for the speakers, but I wanted to see other people's opinions as well.

Message: Two guesses:
1) Too low of an ohm load on the amp or 2) a bad/weak ground

Message: Now that you mention it, the grounding wire is exposed..is that normal? I did get everything professinally installed.

Message: i had mine installed too and they had mine grounded out bad causeing my mids and high to stop every few seconds. You need to check that ground but before that answer this...when the sub and back speakers stop do they just cut off few a couple seconds, look at the power on the amp and see if it goes off.It may do that or through on a prot light....protect.
