"The bezel is the surrounding piece of plastic overlay that encompasses the radio and the heat/ac controls. Just pull on it from one of the sides. It should pop out with a light amount of effort. It is held in there with retaining clips so it will feel like your almost bending it before it finally gives way. You should lower your steering column all the way because you will need to pry it away from the wheel. You will also need to slip your hand inside the release the electrical clips that connect to your HVAC and your headlight switch. Pay close attention to the removal of the bezel around the steering wheel because you can easily scratch the dashboard cluster. It sounds much more difficult than it is, and in reality it can be done more quickly than it took me to type this to you. Its one of the more easier dashboards to take apart. Its almost to easy to do.

this is a quote from Mr.Sleepy.
I was curious, with that information... what equipment is needed to put in a custom Sony CD deck? I have heard wire-harness, but is there anything else, and how much should I expect to pay for everything if doing it myself?

All you “should” need is a wiring harness and an adapter plate for the new head unit. The plate will take up the excess space around the smaller aftermarket unit, and allow it to fit properly. The adapter plat will probably run around $15 or so depending on where you get it from. Usually your local W**-Mart has them.

You will need a wire harness and install kit/adapter plate as well as some 16-18 gauge butt-connectors to splice the wire-harness onto the wiring of the new stereo. You will need a pair of light-duty wire crimpers to accomplish this.

All these parts are available at wal*mart, autozone, or any auto place...beware youll pay about twice as much for the same kit at best buy, circuit city, and other car-audio places. Many times these kits are made by the same company and just packaged differently.

I wouldnt expect to spend more than $20-25 total.
