hey everyone, i was wondering what you all think of this setup i'm about to buy:

2x12 SUBS:

AMP:

one question i have about this amp is, it pulls 14.4volts, how would i get that from a 12v battery? or would i have to upgrade the battery all together?

do you guys think these will give me good SQ, and good enough SPL to bump every car around me at a red light? :)

also i was thinking of giving each sub 500w @ 2ohm. if i do this how would i have to setup the wiring? thanks for any info!!!!!

The amp will run off of your 12v battery. It runs best at 14.4v which is what the alt. puts out when the engin is running.

This sub I would say would have more SQ than it would SPL. But if you want to get more SPL out of it, I would recommend that you put it in a ported box. A slot-ported box no the round ports.

For the 2 ohm load, wire each sub in parallel to itself (to get a 1 ohm load for each sub) and the run them in series to each other (which will make the series a 2 ohm load total) then to the amp. This will actually be 1000w @ 2 ohm.
