Subject: Upgrading factory infinity system IP: Logged
Message: I want to upgrade my factory infinity system. I have already installled a JL stealthbox powered by a Fosgate Punch mono amp, and replaced the head unit with a 50x4w alpine. I am looking at replacing the front speaker & tweeters with Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 componets and the rears withs a Infinity Kappa 63.1i.
What do you think of this setup?
Has anyone installed any of these speakers? If so how do they sound, how hard were they to install? Where is the best place to buy them? eBay?

Message: the Infinity Perfects are a great choice for replacements...I have them front and rear in my 2000 cc...the install was fairly painless, I only had to cut a small notch out of the sheet metal in back to get them in, but no big deal at all...the sound is awesome!!! But then again you get what you pay for...I would also recomend an amp on those Perfects, and if you have enough cash, get some sort of EQ as well...even though the head unit says 50 watts/channel it won't be enough to get the Perfects to their full potential...

Message: Hey Luke,
what are you going to do with the factory Speakers. I bought my truck with busted speakers. The only two speakers that work are the tweeters. :) would you like to sell your factories to me?

Message: Luke...I have an old school PPI ( Sedona 4x60 IQX) on my highs and mids...if you know PPI that number is way underrated...anyway, that is more than enough for what those Perfects need, that is unless you want to loose your hearing.
