Message: If you have tweeters mounted high in your door (Next to the A-Pillar) then you have the upgraded Infinity package that DOES have a factory amp installed behind the passengar side kick panel, otherwise you don't have an amp other than the typical one in the head unit...

Message: I just replaced the factory speakers on my quad cab, the best advice i can give you on replacing yours is to call crutchfield, buy the wire harness needed so you don't have to splice into anything- they even have the little harness for the speakers- i spent 9.99 a set, one for the front and one for the back- they will also send you the diagrams on how to replace everything from your stock radio to your rear panels. hope this helps.

Message: I don't know fi you got your answer about the size of the speakers or not but they are both the oversized 6.5. Most places that you get speakers from anymore will have the Chrysler application peice to use for the 6.75 holes. Or if you are good with wood you could make your own by using your stock speakers as an outline.

Message: I am getting my speakers off ebay and i have called several car stereo stores and none of them have the adapter for the 6 3/4 speaker. one place had never even heard of it. any one have other ideas as where to get the adapter. I am sure i could go and buy some brand knoew speakers and the adapter might come with them or something but iam on a tight budget. thats why iam buying the speakers on ebay.

Message: oh yeah, by the way- the 9.99 also comes with those famous brackets, the speakers I installed in mine are 6.5 components in the front and 6.5 coaxials in the rear- they wouldn't of fit without those brackets, trust me- give crutchfield a call

Message: The front and rear speakers are 6.75" with 3 screw holes, but 6.5" speakers fit. This is the fun part, most speakers won't align with the Chrysler screw pattern. You can get adapters, make adapters or just drill new holes for the 4 speaker screws. The fronts are a real joy since Dodge designed a web in their speaker mount that hits dead center with the screw holes, you have to hack the web out and then drill the holes through the mount and into the metal. The rear speakers are pretty easy since you just need to drill new holes to screw down the speakers.
The adapters are easier, but drilling through the speaker mount and/or metal is free. You could also make some adapters out of 1/2" MDF or particle board if your handy with tools.
Check out Ebay for the adapters, I think I saw someone selling these when I was putting
together my system 6 months ago.
