 Subject: did i fry my amp.......HELP

i was messing with my amp today and when i bridge my amp and turn the volume up to a certain point the protetion light comes on. Its a 200w amp and 2 12" 600w ma audio subs. is this normal or not.
But back to my problem, i was messing with my hot wire and the screwdriver touched the amp and started sparking and now when i turn my radio on the protection light stays on. I even checked all my fuses and they all checked fine. but i really need help on this please. thanks

if it arched, it grounded out somewhere i would think. i would think it is not major damage, though. take it to a professional and have them check it out before you soldier away unless you know what you're doin'.

well i took it apart and couldn't find any burnt marks on it

i switch from cd to fm and the protection light came on and it only goes of when the radio is off i check the fuses and i even un hook it and hook it back up what is wrong?
