Subject: Front and rear speakers stopped working
IP: Logged

Message:
I own a 99 dakota sport ext cab that may or may not still have the infinity amp (i got it used and it still has the tweeters but the rest is replaced)I installed a new head unit and my speakers stopped working. I checked my fuses, my wiring, I found a wire on the harness that the one from wallmart didnt have so i ran one thinking it was for the turn on for the infnity amp and connected it but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC there's one wire that clipped onto the back of the factory radio, this is the amp ground. tie it to a ground wire somewhere.

Connect the blue remote turn-on wire..thatll turn the amp on.

To bypass it simply cut the wires before and after the amp(located in the lower kick-panel, passenger side) and connect the wires bypassing the amp, you may have to add a few inches of wire in there.
