Message: when i have my volume down my sub thumps in a regular rhythm. How can i make this go away? I thought the problem may have been the ground wire. I tryed grounding in two different spots so far. First spot was the bolt for the driver side seat, then I tryed a bolt just under the seatbelt on the drivers side. It seemed to be a factory ground location, but it got louder after i put it there.

Message: Where is your amp located? It sounds like you may have a ground loop, which is what happens when components are grounded in multiple locations. It could also be ignition interference, easily identified by a change in rhythm with engine RPM. What I would first try is to get a ground loop filter, which would run about 10 bucks at any car audio dealer.

Message: dougk,
thanks for the reply. My amp is located under the driver's seat. I will try the ground loop filter. For $10 it will be worth a try.
