Message: it sounds, at least in my opinion, pretty darn good for how small it sounds. i have to drive with my little brother to school every day and he cant "handle" the sub pounding really hard into his back- the seat of course shakes/vibrates, especially when i put the bass up onto "3"- out of 3- bass off, level 1, 2, and 3. so lol when im driving with my brother i have to put the bass down to usualy one or two cuz my brothers a wussy. but yeah it sounds really good; im sure there's more powerful, actually WAY more powerful subs out there, but this is perfect for my system, and i think if i had any bigger sub, it would make me deaf, as the sound would only go directly to my ear, because there isnt any cubic space for the sound to go except towards you in a regular cab-sized pickup. it seems to hit the low notes with ease and sounds good with all music. id recommend it.

Message: i bought everything- the rf he2 8" sub, q-logic 8" truck-sub box, and rf 201s amp- all at sounddomain.com. the sub was 70, box i think 48m and amp 120, so it was i believe 220 plus tax or somewhere around there.
no i did not lose any leg room whatsoever; i was originally thinking about putting in a 10" rf he2 sub, but i decided it would be too tight of a fit, and i most likely would have to scoot my seat up an inch or two, but with this 8" box, it fit perfectly, and still have about an inch, or less, between the back of the seat and the front of the box, so the back seat isn't totally muffling the sub. but yeah, if you decided on putting in 8"s instead of 10"s, and you dont have enough money to buy the kicker L5s- 150- or i think image dynamics makes 8 inchers too that are really good, id recommend this rockford fosgate one.
