Subject: amp install IP: Logged
Message: How do i install an mtx road thunder amp Rt2400x to my factory radio. I have a 2003 sxt. I have no experience with this sort of thing, so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Message: You can also get a high level to low level converter, if the MTX doesn't have the high level (speaker level) inputs. The converter takes the speaker output from the deck and drops the voltage down so you can run the amp off the converters RCA outputs. You can splice the converter input wires into the speaker wires in the back of the deck or at the speakers, which ever is easier.
Like Makaveli said, if the MTX has high level input's your set, just splice the amp's high level inputs (not the RCA's) to the stereo speaker wires.
