hey, i just recently got a part time job at Best Buy because I want to use the discount on a home theatre set up. I found out that the car audio and related products are marked up at least 50%, and in most cases 80+. I wish home theatre was like that lol. Anyways, if anyone is interested check out the best buy website and let me know what your interested in. I'll be done buying the stuff i want soon so i'm not worried about getting caught. I can help you guys out by charging a significant amount less, and help my self by adding a few coins to my pocket. let me know. even if it's only 50% percent off, i'll mark it up a bit for my benefit, and add shipping.....you'll still easily save 30% or more.

how is this a scam? obviuosly i wouldn't do it if there wasn't a benefit for me, but i already mentioned that. your seriously under estimating the amount these products are marked up. I was able to buy a pair of Pioneer 6x9's that listed for $129 for $19 after my discount. Say i give them to you for $50 bucks, you save about 65% i pocket about 25 bucks after shipping. It's a WIN WIN. I can even let you have the receipt. Not everything is marked up as much as the speakers, but if you find something let me know. How painful is that?

Some people just dont know...My buddy used to work at Best Buy also. Kevin is correct. Employees get the stuff at 5% over cost..and car audio is marked up ridiculous. With the discount you easily pay less than half..half at most. And those crappy warranties that are like $45+...employees get for $5. Seriously.

Levey is exactly right. I bought an Ipod for 499.99 and unfortunatly that is the actual best buy cost, so no discount but i got the 4 year in store warranty that was 60 bucks, for 6 bucks. So unless your buying a 9,000 dollar plasma TV i would steer clear of those warranties. It makes me mad that I've been paying regular price on this stuff for so many years.

Hey man be careful, i worked at bestbuy for a while and one of the dudes i worked with was doing that, one day my manager followed him out to his car and asked him to show him his stereo with all the stuff hed bought when he said he didnt have it the manager asked hium where it was and called the police, he got arrested and charged with grand theft because it was over 5000 worth of merchandise

I call bullsh+t on that story....seriously Andrew. Either you need to think of a better story or your friend was incredibly stupid. Youre allowed to buy on company discount for gifts and whatnot..all youd have to say is its installed in my moms car or my 2nd car, or i gave them as gifts..and your not going to get the police called on you anyhow.
