Message: Hey jay,
Why did you raise your prices? I know you make a GREAT product, But you have made so many that you can pump one of these out in a day I am sure.
You have a very high level of craftsmenship, but I do not think it warented a $70 price boost. Maby there is some hidden cost that I am not aware of.
But I know I could build that box (if I had the knowhow (which I DON'T)) for under $100.
Not trying to knock you company. You do GREAT work. But I do want to know what the price jump is for.
Always thankfull,
Ben J.

Message: I agree about the price to build one. I am trying to get out of the 100% MDF market and move into the fiberglass/MDF market. It is mostly the high demand for these. That is why the price is high. I can pump out a fiberglass box quicker than the MDF box. It is mostly outsourced.

Message: $250 for a MDF/glass box isn't a bad price.
Let's see $50-$75 for materials and a day to build the box your self or pay to have a local shop build a 1-off custom box. If you have the skills and time the $250 might seem steep, but try a local stereo shop and see how much they want for a custom glass enclosure.
About the only thing your going to find prefab is the Thunderform, which doesn't have the amp tray.

Message: If there is someone in the phoenix area with a dakota quad cab that can leave the truck with me on a Sat or Sunday I can hook them up with a box for a extremely discounted price. I need the truck to make a mold from. IT will take approx 2-3 weeks after that to complete the box. Thanks.

Message: jay, is it possible for you to design a box for 2 15" Rockford HE2's w/ the amp in the middle, cooled by fans with lexan/plexiglass voer it? I plan on taking out the backseat in the club cab.

Message: Jay
That was with 1" MDF, but fiberglass would be $175-$210. But I don't know if I want fiberglass or not yet though. And the amp tray, I don't know about, because with the way I want my built I would not really want a tray because I am going to mount my amp on the front of the box in between my seats. But it will probably be this summer sometime before I have it built because there is still alot of performance stuff I am going to do first.
BlackDak20
And the subs are almost exactly the same. I may end up getting 2 10" CompVRs for more mids. The tones do flow. I have my lows with the S15L7 and then if I do end up going with the 10's then I would have my mids there besides my 6.5's. and I have tweets for my highs. It sounds good.

Thanks

Message: i know i've asked you this before but can you make a box for a club cab, 10" kicker L7 with a tray for an amp with fans? the rest of the box would be for airspace because it takes a lot to make the L7's pound.

Message: If you need lots of airspace then don't get one with the tray. the tray takes away from the airspace. The mount depth is still only 5 3/4". You might be able to get that depending on the magnet size. What is the diameter of the magnet on the sub and top mounting depth? These are for club cabs(xtra cab), not quad cabs

Message: Jay-
Looking at the Pictures, does the front of the CC fiberglass box come made with Particle board and carpeted? I didn't see a "finished" pic on your gallery.
Also what is the difference in cu. ft. with Tray Vs Without?
