Message: Installed one 5 months ago and love it. I picked up the 301S on Ebay for $105 shipped and it comes with the remote bass control. I am running 2 RF XLC 10's (200W RMS each) on it and they sound great. The amp is rated at 300W RMS, 900W peak, but the one I have was tested at 376W RMS on the birth sheet. As far as pushing 2 300W RMS subs, it would do it, but the subs would be under powered.
If the subs are rated at 300W RMS each (and not cheap subs)I would probably opt for the 401S or 501S to get the subs enough power.

Message: I purchased a 401. And if I had to do it again I wouldnt. I used it to power one Infinity Perfect 10 and I noticed it got extremely hot at loud to moderately loud levels. I was worried that i was going to fry the sucker. Wouldve chosen a different one. There are better amps out there for the money.

Message: I have a 301S with a Kicker L7S8 sub. It works fine for me. Note that I installed it under the back seat in the QC, so the top cooling fins are actually touching the seat.
I realized that I may need to move the amp to improve the air flow, but decided to see if it was actually necessary to relocate it.
So far there has been no need to move it.

Message: I have my 301S mounted under the drivers seat and it stays cool even after cranking it for a while. I keep the air circulating to the foot area, helps out a lot with amp cooling under the seats.
Correct me if I'am wrong here, but I think the 401S and 501S are built in the same chassis and heatsink as the 301S. A good reason why a 301 would stay cool where a 401 would heat up.

Message: It does come with the remote. And if it can push two 150w RMS 12"s is depending on the subs. The 301S can push 300w RMS at 4ohms when bridged. It's 75wx2 when used in two channel mode. So, if your subs can handle the 4ohms when bridged together then you're straight. Someone help me out here, does that mean he needs two 8ohm subs or 2 2ohm subs? I always fugg that part up...

Message: The 301S will push 2-150W RMS woofers without a problem, could even be over kill. The one I got is rated at 376W RMS on the birth sheet. You can run the amp bridged off, 2-2 ohm subs in series (4 ohm load), 2-8 ohm in parallel (4 ohm load) or the amp in stereo with a 2 ohm sub off each channel. Just make sure you don't go below a 4 ohm load with the amd bridged, or a 2 ohm load off each channel in stereo.
I am running 2-8 ohm RF 10" XLC 200W RMS woofers in parallel (4 ohm load) of the bridged 301S without problems and they hit realy hard and tight.

Message: Had a MTX 12" about 10 years ago and the thing was awsome, but I don't know how they are now. It was running it off a bridged RF Punch 150 and it lasted about 3-4 years. I think the sub was rated at 200W RMS and the amp could push over 300W bridged. The MTX did realy good considering it was over powered.

Message: The 30 amp fuse holder goes on the amplifiers battery + wire about 1 foot from the battery. It's there to keep the truck from melting down if the amps power wire gets shorted out to ground. If you bought an amp wiring kit with a fused power wire you won't need the extra fuse holder.

Message: I have just recently installed a punch 301S 900watt amp into my car with a 12 inch sub connected to it. I have had a read of the manual that came with the amp and it has limited knowledge of how to adjust the gain on the amplifier.
I would appreciate it if anyone could give me an insight into how to adjust the gain on the amplifier.
