Hi,
I'm kinda new to the car stereo stuff so i need some advice. I recently went to Circuit City and was talked into buying a MTX amp for 79.99 (open box) puting out 200Wx1 at 4 ohlms. I also got a sony Xplode 10in for 35.00 (good price, i had to try it). Now that i got it all hooked up it sounds okay, but not quite what i'm looking for. (BTW, the box is the exact specifications as it says it needs). I can crank it all the way up and i can't hear anything from outside. I want to know what would be a good amp and sub combination that would be LOUD. I only want a single sub because i am simply setting the box in the middle of the seat in the back, it's a Club Cab and i want to have enough room for a person to squeeze in on each side. I have about $360 to spend. Was concidering a 12 or 15in. Please help me....Thanks

If all you want is "LOUD", then just build a bandpass for that 10" you bought.

Get yourself one of these in the DVC 2 ohm version and wire the voice coils in series.:
And spend the rest on a good box. Keep the amp you have and when you save up some more money, upgrade to a zapco.
Might want to look into a good head unit thought, running stock now?

That box is stupid expensive, plus you don't even know if it will fit OR how well the sub will fit.
I say make your own box. If you don't feel confident making your own box, then make a ghetto one out of cardboard, then go have the wood cut and you screw it together.
As for a suggestion for amps, there are so many good amps out there that it would be hard to answer that question. First find out how much room you have to work with to mount an amp and go from there. I myself like Zapco, but there are many others like PPI, Orion, Alpine has a good line, etc. I would suggest spending some time reading on a dedicated audio forum for some good info.
