Subject: Head unit probs (no sound) IP: Logged
Message: I just got a Pioneer DEH-P77DH and I went out and bought the wiring harness and everything hooked all the wires up to the harness and pluged it into my truck and it worked, well sort of it lights up and everything but no sound at all. I have it with stright radio and nothing so then I put a CD in and again. .. nothing whats going on here? Any ideas as to why its not working? the only 2 wires I didn't use on the harness is the "power antenna" wire and the "light dimmer" wire. So frustrating to see it all hooked up and getting to use my new remote and have nothing happen. Thanks ing advance for the advice/input/solutions.

Message: I had the same problem. I called the harness manufacturer @ 1(800)253-8324. They told me to hook up the power antenna wire to the amp turn-on. It worked on my pioneer deh-p9300 install in my 1997 dakota. The extra small plug (stock), it has AMP written on it upon close inspection, is now obsolete. Good Luck!!
