Subject: Kick panel or not IP: Logged
Message: Hello everyone the newbie again :) Question time if you don't mind. I have been searching around websites and they say that kick panels gives the best sound. Is it true. Is it better placing the component in a kick panel the usual tweeter next to the side mirror and the mid in the side??
THanks everyone

Message: In theroy putting BOTH speakers (mid & tweet) in the kick panel helps your staging & imaging because your creating more equal length paths for the sound to travel to reach your ears. However kick panel installs are more difficult and your feet/legs block the sound while driving in most cases. So, if your not entering competitions (where they judge you on tiny details) I'd forget the kick panels. Personally I've never liked the way they sound with the tweeter that low... it drags the sound stage down too far.
