Message: Well,,,, you could mount 7" deep subs under the seats. But, the magnet/voice coil vent would probably be on the bottom of the enclosure and the sub would be hitting the bottom of the seat. The magnet/voice coil vent against the bottom of the box will fry the voice coil in no time flat and the sub's cone surround hitting the seat will shread the surround, distort the sound and possibly jam the voice coil into the magnet. Doh! there go my new subs!
Try to leave at least 1 X the magnet/voice coil vent diameter under the sub (umm,,, 3/4" to 1" in my case) and 1 1/2 X the subs max excursion on top of the sub's surround (3/4" in my case) to prevent problems.

Message: Sorry guys, The rear seat bracket holes are side by side, not up and down. Must have had a brain fart about using the "top" stud and nut since there isn't a top stud and nut, they are level.
Whoops ;(

Message: Well, my CC is totalled out and I am getting a QC to replace it.
I am going to sell these sub boxes, filler panel and CD changer mount, probably without the subs since I am going to put the subs in the QC. The sub boxes are .8 cuft each and 5 1/4" deep from what I remember.
Anyone interested?

Message: DSW,
Are the sub boxes seperate, or is one whole unit? Would I be able to use the boxes, and create an area in between to house an amp?
If so, I would be interested. Send me the info on how much you are looking to get, and maybe we can work something out.
Thanks!!!

Message: Yeah, the boxes are seperate. If you look at the pic's I have a CD changer, oil, jack and all sorts of other crap in between the boxes. Putting an amp in there won't be a problem, even if it's pretty big. I think there's 21 1/2" between the boxes, can't tell right now as the truck's at the tow yard.
Once I get the the boxes out of the truck I'll post back on what I want for them.
