i am in the middle of a project now but i always put my amp under the drivers seat as long as the amp is not to big and it will have enough air space to keep it cool. i am probably going to get a rockford fosgate punch amp, i have found that these amps are some of the best. i have pushed 4 12's with a 500 watt punch amp it never cut out once.

Rockford Fosgate 501x is 65Wx4ch, $150-$200 on Ebay. I have a 301S under the drivers seat of my 00 CC Dak and it sticks out a little when the seat is all the way forward, but it's protected when the seat is in it's normal position. I think the 501X and the 301S are the same dimensions or close, so it might fit. Check the dimensions of the 501X compared to the 301S to see if they are the same.

See my website... I got a HiFonics Zeus 55X4 behind the rear seats of my Quad Cab. Plenty of room for amps back there but not much subs over 8"

JMII awsome site. wow as a newbie i acutally learned a lot just by your site. One question though. If you put your amp behind the seat, won't it overheat. I mean it seems like there isn't much room for it to breath. I don't suppose you live your back seats folded all the time??

Duh, you said the most appropriate thing you coulda have coming from someone of your obvious high level of intelligence. One thing I may suggest, um... Click on the graphical representations of the components, it just MIGHT take you to some high quality pics of the install of that piece and some verbage about it...

Dumbass...

hey KK1,

you should have no problem putting the amp behind the seat or under the seat, if you have two subs behind the seat then put them on each side and the amp in the middle screwed to the back wall (towards the bottom) for room to breathe. It will be fine.

Matt can you please give me some advice on what sub box to put in the back. I was thinking the Thunderform but a little pricey so can you suggest anything that i don't have to build??
