Subject: How to remove the center seat? IP: Logged
Message: I want to put in a custom center console box that houses two 8" subs. This really isn't an audio question, but how hard is it to get that middle seat/fold-down armrest out? I've got a 40-20-40 bucket seat setup, reg cab, 5 speed. The stick is in the way of the seat and no one can fit there, so I want to atleast use the space instead of behind the seats.

Message: On my 00 CC the 40/20/40 seat has the center section riveted to the seat frames, from what I remember. rhlam96 is right, your going to need to pull the seat and them unbolt or grind the rivets to get the center section out.
Pulling the seat out is a real pain since the whole thing is real wobbly, might want to have some assistance getting it out so you don't scratch the paint. I did it by myself, but was cussing the whole way, felt like I was trying to lift a wet noodle.
