Subject: Almost got it all IP: Logged
Message: Hi, well today I got my Thunderform box loaded with the 2 10" subs and I've got my MB quart premium components for the front. Now...I'm thinking I'll use the amp I already have (300 watt Kenwood) for the front and rear and get a mono amp for the subs.
Any suggestions or advice would be welcome. What amp? will a 300 watt amp be enough to drive the speakers? I'm aware that some amps are too big for under the dak seats, I'm thinking of a memphis or MTX mono.
Besides having the 2 amps there's the XM receiver that'll have to go...somewhere??!!! I'm not doing the install but I'm getting close to having all my gear ready to go.
One more question..I haven't a clue what to do with the rears, I've re thought this as I've learned more from this site..what what you do with the rears? I don't want to leave stock in of course, so then what?
I'll thank you in advance for answering probably one too many questions. So, thank you.

Message: Rear speakers? What kind of cab? Club or Quad - it's worth putting some co-axials in the Quad since people can actually sit back there, but in any other cab rear speakers are a big waste - well unless you drive in reverse alot ;)

Message: Thanks John, I've got the CC and I bought a Memphis amp and yes, I think I'll put some inexpensive coaxials in the rear. I have an install day for Feb (day job) and it's going to be a clean install. XM receiver will go under the rear side panel so not much will be visible.
