Subject: Would this setup work in a 97 reg cab?

I really don't have much experience with car audio setups, bu I really want to upgrade my stock speakers. Right now I have a JVC KD-LH1100 head unit that puts out 50 watts to each of the four speakers. Ive very happy with it, but I want to upgrade so I can go a little louder.

I know that in my truck, the door panels hold a 6 3/4" speaker and the rear housing fits 5 1/4" speakers.

On Crutchfield.com, I noticed that Rockford Fosgate makes a 6 3/4" sub that looks like it may fit, maybe it's too deep, though (I havent measured the width of the doors). Would these fit and work in the stock locations with my current head unit? Would I need and amp to power them, or should my head unit do the job? I would then like to get a new set of rear spekers to handle the highs and lows.

Does anyone know if this is a decent setup, or should I just replace my factory speakers with aftermarket full range or 2 or 3 way speakers? I really don't want sub boxes behind the seats, but I don't really know any other way to get a good sounding system without going all out.
