I just bought a 97 5.2 v-8 and i am going to install aalpine c/d player in dash. my question is how do i get the grey plastic cover off the dash to install it??? Also some one told me the plug-in on the back plugs right in ?
please help

the plastic piece will come off with quite a bit of force...it's held in by clips...as far as the clip thing...as long as you went to the store and picked up a chrysler stereo wiring harness and connected to to the leads on the head unit then it SHOULD plug right in

You can buy a mounting kit and wire harness for $19 total from Wal-mart. It works great. I just got my 97 Dak a week ago and already installed my CD/player. It is easy as long as you know how to solder wires together.
