I have a 1999 Durango SLT and I have radio controls on the steering wheel. My questiojn to all is "If I install an aftermarket head unit what do I need to do to make these controls work with the new head unit?"

I have a 2003 dakota and added a Pioneer HU. I really missed my steering wheel control so I bought the following. Was not hard to hook up.

I had talked to some local car audio stores and I was told I would only be able to use a Sony HU and I thought that was complete BS. Thanks for your help
