Subject: No Bass? IP: Logged
Message: I just installed a panasonic cd player today. I hooked up all the wires to the ones on my wiring harness. Which, they were all colored coated, so I thought it would be a breeze. It plays the cds and the radio, but I have no power to my amp when I am listening to a cd. The bass isnt as good as it was on my old system on the radio part. Ive double checked everything and am out of ideas. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Message: Do you have you remote wire hooked up from the radio to the amp? Do you have proper power going to your amp and also is you ground connection good. You must have a good ground connection if the ground is only touching paint or anything like that it will not get a good ground.

Message: Some aftermarket radios have two blue wires, one is solid blue and the other is blue with a white stripe. The solid blue one is usually for "Power antenna," and the blue/white one is for amp turn on. The power antenna lead is typically only active when you're in AM/FM mode, and it shuts off when you go into another mode such as CD or cassette. So, if you're using the "power antenna" lead, try switching it to the "remote" or "amp turn on" lead.

Message: You can do as Jim as metioned and you can also wire into the red(usually) wire for accessory for the amp.
