Message: Guess it's quiet in here this weekend. Maybe I can help. I know audio, but don't know anything about specific models, etc.
Is it a 2 channel amp? Bridgable?
If it is bridgable and you are running only one speaker I'd run it bridged of course and adjust the gain accordingly.
There may be someone here that knws that set up specificly. I also am not too sure what you needed help on. More info would help.

Message: I don't know much about this topic. All I know is that one of my buddies said that the amp would be plenty of power for the sub. Here is all of the info for the amp. The sub is a RF Power HX2 10". I hope this helps. I would just like to know what I have to do to get the most out of my setup. Like I said any help is greatly appreciated.
140 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
275 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
550 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms
stereo or bridged mono output
4-ohm stable in bridged mode
Tri-Way capable
requires 4-gauge power and ground leads
variable 50-250 Hz high-pass/low-pass crossover, 24 dB/ octave
TOPAZ noise-killing differential inputs eliminate 80% of ground loop noise between the head unit and the amp
NOMAD advanced protection circuitry monitors temperature, voltage, current and impedance, and provides "intelligent" shut-down protection without limiting system performance
TRANS•ana circuit designs keep voltages low and signal paths simple in the pre-amp section, for minimum distortion and maximum musicality
MEHSA provides more efficient transfer of heat from MOSFET output devices to the heatsink for cooler operation
preamp outputs for convenient daisy-chaining of amplifiers
Punch Bass boosts bass up to 18 dB at 45 Hz (wired remote control included)
12-1/8"W x 2-3/8"H x 9-7/8"D

Message: this is simple ..if its a dvc 2ohm put the coils in series and you will create a 4ohm load to your amp..but if its a dvc 4ohm ..then you have to think whats the low impedance of the amp ..cuz you can wire it in parallel and have a 2ohm load ..or in series and have a 8 ohm load..if you want me to explain better just ask ..gl

Message: It is a dual 2 ohm voice coil setup. What do you mean by "in series" as opposed to parallel. I really appreciate the help, forgive my lack of knowledge.

Message: ok this is what i mean this is what you see when the speaker is face down:
+ -...coil two
- +...coil one
ok to put this is series parallel is very simple take the + of the amp and conect it to the + of coil one.. then take the - of the amp and conect it to the - of coil 2...with me so far?... then take an extra wire and conect it from - coil one to + coil two..it sould look like this ..
+ -..to amp negative
\(shortwire) - +..to amp positive
very simple right ..well if you don't get it just post what you don't get ..but if you do ..woohoo lol ..gl to ya
