Subject: Air bag light/Head unit install
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab. I recently took it to a car audio shop to have an after market stereo installed. When I left the shop I noticed that the Air Bag light was on and was staying on. When they pulled the dash to install the stereo they also had to unplug the air bag on the passenger side. The people installing the stereo are trying to help me fix the problem but I am concerned that they may eventually give up and leave me with a truck that has inoperable air bags. They claim that this has to be merely a coincidence and not the doing of their employees. Can you think of anything that might have caused this and can you think of a resolution. They have tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery for several minutes. The local Dodge dealership hooked it up to the computer and charged us seventy bucks (which the car audio place paid) but we still came away with nothing. They said the bags are not getting power. With this information the car audio shop checked the fuses and they all checked out okay? Any suggestions at all? Please e mail me at hardball@adelphia.net

Thanks
