Subject: Subwoofer placement questions!!!

I have a 99 Dakota Sport Regular Cab...

OK my system is going to include one 10" infinity kappa perfect subwoofer. It has a 6" mounting depth so I will be able to make it fit with a custom box. My problem is where do I put it in the truck...behind the driver or passenger seat?!? I dont want it to sound bad because the sub is only on one side...will this be the case...will it be very noticable in sound on which side the sub is on? Also I want to take into consideration I dont want my back being vibrated to shreds by having 300W of subwoofer pounding against it through the seat.

I'd put it behind the passenger seat. Bass is non-directional, so it should sound fine being over there. Putting it behind the passenger seat will also let you have more room to move the seat back and won't muffle the bass as much (as long as no one is riding with you).

go behind the drivers seat. Matt is right about being non directional, but u will fell the bass more if it is behind your seat. I have a 10 in mine, and it takes up basically no leg room. The point of bass is to fell the music, so i think behind your seat is the best option

I would put it behind the driver seat. MTX makes a enclosure that mounts in to the driver-side corner. It looks and sounds fantastic.
