Message: hello
i havean amp i just bought yesterrday and an amp install kit and here is my qestion, where to ground and where to place. its a pretty small 200watt amp and its physically small also, i'm sure i could place it under the passinger seat with no problem. but if i do, where do i ground it to. i know a screw to the chasy, but from all your guyses installs where do you ground it. or, can i just put it in the big compartment in the tool try under the seat, or will it over heat, i have my amp valume set to the midle anyway so i doubt it would, just seaking advise. thanks oh, and if i do put it under the seat, where to ground also. thanks again+

Message: hello there, what i usally do. is i use a bolt that bolts the seat to the frame of the car.i have been doing this for years and never have i had a problem. so just use a seat bolt and make sure to make the bolt good and tight.

Message: Make sure that where-ever you decide to ground it, seat or tray, make sure it has a good metal to metal connection. you may need to use alittle sandpaper to insure this.
Just for educational purposes.....It's a good guild-line to make the ground wire as short as possible. It reduces your chances of hearing engine noise.
I hope this helps ya

Message: I recently installed a 100watt amp beneath the rear seat and replaced all the speakers---everything is kosher except when i turn on the engine--my speakers pop and then everything is okay. If I just turn the power on without turning over the engine, this problem doesn't occur.
