Subject: Bass Rattles My Dash
IP: Logged

Message:
Has anyone had any problems with the dash rattling from the bass. It's the part where the defrost vents are. I can't figure out how to stop it from rattling. If anyone has solved this or has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks in advance!!

Get some of that foam rubber thats adhesive on one side... I can't remember what they use it for. Weatherstriping on sliding doors I think. Anyway, pull the rattling parts out and wrap a strip around where they are rubbing and re-install them. They won't rattle anymore if you do it right. :0)

I had the same problem with my dak with two
solobaric 15s. My noise was coming from the
vent area and the part of the dash closest to
the windshield. My solution was to use both
dynomat and spray foam. Remember a little
goes a long way, it doesnt take much so even
if you can only squeeze a little foam(carefully)
in to the problem areas the noise should
disappear.
