Subject: thunderform fit and amp help IP: Logged
Message: is anyone else having problems fitting your THUNDERFORM into the 2001 dakota? i got mine in, but i cant line up bolts in the cupholders at all. so i only have 3 bolts holding it down for now. is there any way around this?
also my component amp seems to cut off very early now. if it clips even at very low volumes, does this sound like a ground problem? i had everything wired and it worked fine before, but after i took everything out and reinstalled for the thunderform, the component amp started cutting off even when the volume wasnt that high. maybe i need to re-ground the amp. it is located under the driver seat, and grounded to the seat bolt.

Message: I couldn't get all the bolts lined up either, don't worry three will be fine.
I would try another ground, and make sure to remove the paint and use a star washer. There are exposed pieces of metal that you can use an actual bolt and nut on. It will give you a better ground then a screw.
You may try hooking the amp up directly to the + - of your battery to make sure that is the problem.
