Subject: 8" sub box for club cabs
IP: Logged

Message:
Just so you know JL audio makes a sub box for dakota club cabs that comes with an 8" 200 watt sub. Me and a friend did the install and it really sounds like a 12 is hidding somewhere under there. The cool thing is it is killer bass and it's undetectable. And even if someone knew about the thing it would take them a good hour to steal it because it is bolted down.

I just spoke to an audio shop around here that I trust. I asked them about the feasibility of cutting out just enough metal from the rear speaker area to install a pair of 8"s back there, and they said not only would it not be a problem, but that it's been done before, and in their opinion it sounds very professional. Evidently JL Audio makes a set of free-air 8's, and I would be using them in the back. Now I'm all excited! *L*

Oh I know that, and that's why I said thanks. I didn't mean to come off like I wasn't appreciative. I'm ALWAYS open for suggestions; if you have any others related to sound (or my 2002 3.9L V6 CC Dak), feel free to shout out.

O.k.

Get yourself a wall of subwoofers and a supercharger.

How about that?
